Letter before Action Lawyers
Make An Enquiry
Description
Your opponents may well take more notice of a formal solicitor’s letter outlining your rights and threatening outcomes, than they may take of a lay-person’s communications; in any case in many circumstances the Courts will expect you to have sent such a letter before you take any other type of enforcement action.
Many problems, such as refusal to pay undisputed invoices, may be solved or clarified through solicitor correspondence.
How long will it take?
We will usually have drafted your letter for your approval within about a working-week of having accepted your instructions (e.g. after payment, for new clients). We would normally send your letter as soon as you approve it. The Courts normally expect at least 14 days to pass from receipt of such a letter before you take any further action.
