Mounteney Complete is a unique product introduced jointly by Mounteney Solicitors and Mounteney Conveyancers, which significantly reduces the time and trouble to complete property transactions - enabling you to move into your new home quicker, easier, and with less risk.
This service enables the parties buying or selling a property to use two independent law firms which are closely affiliated, and who share the same facilities - reducing the communications, opportunities for inconsistency and time taken to complete property deals.
In traditional property transactions the buyer and the seller instruct different lawyers who then communicate between themselves to progress the deal. This is inefficient as their communications take time, they may adopt different approaches, and there is the temptation for each to blame the other for problems.
With “Mounteney Complete”, two independent firms - Mounteney Solicitors and Mounteney Conveyancers, work co-operatively together to get the deal done efficiently and consistently – without any compromise or conflict in quality, service, or independence.
As the independent firms share infrastructure and ethos, we are able to work together handling both sides of the transaction, acting for either the buyer or the seller for an individual property. All the parties in any ‘chain’ of transactions in which we are instructed are independently managed by either Mounteney Conveyancers or Mounteney Solicitors, but according to this same ‘product’ description.
Complete confidentiality is maintained on all sides, protecting the interests of all parties involved. Our mutual co-operation eliminates any unnecessary delays in communications, speeding up the process. This positively impacts on the overall costs to you, our client.

How long will it take?
The time our work takes to conclude will depend on precisely what we are asked to do. In appropriate circumstances, with consistent instructions, it could be possible to conclude a sale, sensibly, in only a few days. For more information please do not hesitate to Contact Us.
Our work will be charged at a fixed fee of:
- £864 including VAT for both sale and purchase for a property price up to £200,000 (purchase) and up to £300,000 (sale)
- £1080 including VAT for both sale and purchase for a property price up to £500,000
- £1296 including VAT for both sale and purchase for a property price up to £1,000,000
These prices will not include extra work involved with flats, new builds or acting for a lender. Any of these extra requirements may be dealt with on request and we would gladly provide equally excellent value on our quote to you.
Our fee applies regardless of how much work we actually do. In some cases this may mean we’ll get relatively better paid for doing less work than in other cases, in which the fixed fee will barely cover our costs. This is simply the nature of the mutual gamble between a solicitor and their client when they fix a fee.
