With such services, one size doesn’t always fit all. Every client is different and all clients can receive our bespoke services tailored to their individual requirements. Below are some examples of the services we offer - please don't hesitate to contact us if the service you had in mind isn’t listed.
IT Procurement Services
The purchase of large-scale IT systems tends to follow a standard structure involving licensing, installation, integration and support.
When public sector entities are the customer, then the procurement itself has to be conducted via a statutory mechanism aimed at transparency, and subject to blanket restrictions – a highly complex process.
We have serviced these top clients in this sector: Cheshire Police, Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, Civica.
Technology companies may need assistance with contentious issues arising either internally (e.g. conduct of employees or contractors) or externally (e.g. debt collection from customers, supplier problems, unfair competitors).
A top IT contentious client is Stickyeyes, a leading digital marketing agency.
Specialist Technical Contracts
Drafting contracts is a basic skill requiring experience and talent which we have found surprisingly absent from many solicitors’ repertoires. Jonathan Mounteney has about 20 years’ specialist IT contract experience, including Escrow arrangements and all kinds of IT contracts. We also draft ‘normal’ contracts required by techno companies including Employment Contracts and Contractor Contracts.
Leading Specialist IT contract clients include Wilmington, IACS LLP, and IAM Cloud.
Corporate and Transactional Advice
We offer business owners all the support they need in buying and/or selling businesses – from initial negotiation, through due diligence, finance arrangements, the transaction itself, to assistance with business administration after sale.
In 2014 we acted for Proof ID in their purchase of Salford Software from the University of Salford.
We also offer advice on business structure, including Shareholder Agreements and Enterprise Management Incentives. Referees for these services of ours include Cadassist and Clever IT.
How long will it take?
The time taken for our work to conclude depends on precisely what it is we are asked to do. We will always endeavour to complete any work in a timely manner.
These are not services amenable to blanket fixed fees. Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
